As the world struggles to tackle the Covid-19 pandemic, organisations in the aid sector are racing to respond to its impact and the new challenges and risks it brings. Some are delivering aid in new ways, engaging with communities remotely, developing online resources and mapping out new support pathways. Others are using their networks and structures to support efforts to tackle this social, economic and public health challenge.
As the crisis unfolds and the responses are developed, it is critical that the sector’s commitment to protect people from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Sexual Harassment is not only maintained, but scaled up. Evidence shows that the risks of SEAH tend to rise during emergencies, so aid agencies need to take even greater care and vigilance in preventing harm as a result of their operations.
We have developed this page to bring together emerging guidance, materials and resources to support the sector in responding to SEAH risks and issues in the Covid-19 context. Please help us by sharing any materials you have developed with us so that we can upload them here for onwards sharing with the sector. You can send them to veronica@rshub.org.uk.
