This Guidance Note by the Alliance for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action is aimed at humanitarian child protection practitioners, particularly child protection advisors and programme managers. It provides useful guidance on how to ensure children’s protection needs are taken into account during infectious disease outbreaks. This Guidance Note is divided into two parts:
Part 1: Why are children particularly vulnerable during infectious disease outbreaks?
Part 2: Recommended preventive and responsive actions to complement existing actions in the Minimum Standards for Children Protection in Humanitarian Action (2012).
