GBV IMS Steering Committee
Cover

This resource has been developed for staff of organizations that provide care, support, and protection services to GBV survivors in humanitarian settings, including social work-informed case management and psycho-social support. While it is largely focused on the case management process, there are some sections that will be helpful for organizations or community groups not implementing a comprehensive case management programme (e.g. health providers, legal service providers, women’s organizations, and community support groups), but who are key providers of specialized support to GBV survivors. A significant portion of this resource focuses on responding to the particular experiences of women and adolescent girls who have experienced sexual violence, intimate partner violence, and child, early, or forced marriage. Whilst it is primarily a GBV programming resource, there is useful information for case management for safeguarding, particularly in applying survivor-centred approaches and mapping services (availability and quality).
