This Protocol aims to establish a common set of standards based on existing  frameworks to strengthen a coordinated approach across the UN to the provision of assistance and support to survivors of sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA). The protocols sets out that assistance and support for victims of SEA should be provided in a holistic, integrated manner with the support of a designated case manager and/or service provider with the necessary expertise and capacity. It includes commitments to support survivors with immediate safety or protection planning to address any risk of  further violence against the victim; medical support; psychosocial support; education; livelihood support and basic material assistance; and legal assistance if desired by the victim and support for children born as a result of sexual exploitation and abuse.
