The UK's Ambassador to the UN and WTO in Geneva, Simon Manley, delivered this statement during the session on preventing sexual exploitation, abuse and sexual harassment.

Considering recent allegations and failures to report cases of sexual exploitation, abuse and sexual harassment, as required by UN and WHO protocol, and given the UK Government shared policy of zero tolerance for inaction, Ambassador Manley called for investigated as soon as possible and for reinforcing a survivor-centred approach.

He further calls for faster consultations of Member States to the UN on any evidence collected by the Independent Commission investigating allegations against UN offices as well as for more transparency from the WHO.
