The Funder Safeguarding Collaborative is developing a team of Regional Safeguarding Advisors who can contribute to the development of the Collaborative and provide support to Network Members. Each Regional Safeguarding Advisor will bring context-specific knowledge and expertise, helping to ensure that the work of FSC recognizes and reflects the specific strengths, challenges and safeguarding risks that exist in different contexts.

Reporting to the FSC Director, the Regional Safeguarding Advisor will play a key role in delivering support and services to FSC Network Members with funding portfolios in sub-Saharan Africa. They will be responsible for developing relationships with safeguarding experts and collating best practice knowledge specific to their region.

The Regional Safeguarding Advisors will be contracted as a freelance consultant on retainer to provide a minimum of 1 day (8 hours) work for FSC every month. Additional hours will be agreed in consultation with the FSC Director in accordance with the demand for FSC services and needs of FSC members.
