The focus of the vacancy is the execution of safeguarding investigation activities as part of the Headquarters Investigations Unit.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function with or without reasonable accommodation: Under direction of the supervisor, develops action plans which determine scope, timing, and direction of PSEA ('Protection against Sexual Exploitation and Abuse') and other Safeguarding investigations; At the direction of the supervisor, conducts preliminary data gathering related to complaints received; Conducts objective, fair, thorough, unbiased and timely investigations into allegations of SEA, Trafficking in Persons, Child Safeguarding and Sexual Harassment; Obtains relevant evidence and information on-site; Reviews and researches evidence/documents to draw conclusions; Organizes and conducts interviews; Documents all investigative steps; Produces professional investigation reports with recommendations; Keeps management up to date on safeguarding measures taken and plans for future action; and Remains up-to-date on relevant trends and activities in the global compliance profession within the NGO community, particularly as relates to safeguarding investigations.
