The purpose of this role is to ensure Safeguarding (of both children and adult) policies are institutionalised in SCI and among partner organisaitons throughout our technical programme and operational work. This includes ensuring total compliance of the policy by all Save the Children staff, partners and representatives. The position holder is responsible to establish and maintain Safeguarding systems, quality standards and practices within the organisation (SCI- CO) and partner led programmings. The position holder will be responsible to orient on safeguarding frameworks, undertake safeguarding risk assessment under each project, conduct integrated safeguarding assessment, build the capacity of the safeguarding focal person in the field offices and in partner offices. The incumbent will combine elements of capacity building and monitoring whilst enforcing compliance and accountability, management, and aspects of advocacy. S/he will be responsible to focus and drive on Safeguarding endeavours during humanitarian and developmental context. It includes capturing, sharing and evaluating lesson learnt on Safeguarding, gathering evidence and data on Safeguarding issues to strengthen programming and advocacy.
