The online workshop is part of "gLOCAL Evaluation Week" taking place between May 30th and June 3rd.

This online session will cover ‘how Safeguarding should be considered and built into monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) & research activities'. We will present guidance developed by the Safeguarding resource and support hub (RSH) introducing attendees to principles for safe MEL and research.

Structure: A short training session on safeguarding, led by Jo Feather and Alix Clark, Joint Evidence Leads on RSH, followed by a Q&A.

Learning objectives:

  • Participants will become familiar with the basic principles for ensuring safe MEL and research
  • Participants will be better able to identify safeguarding risks within MEL & research activities and be able to apply basic principles of safe MEL to address these.

A second session on Implementing learning in an adaptive program takes place on 1 June. Read more here.
